So, this is it. My inaugural blog post – the very first. No lies, I’m sitting on my couch scarfing down handfuls of kettle popcorn because it’s one of those days I’m finding it hard to stick to asparagus and chicken.
I tried starting this blog many times, mostly after weeks of travel in order to share all the beautiful images of the people and places I was lucky enough to visit. But alas, there’s a moment post-travels when you’re thrown into the throngs of day to day life. Your schedule gets filled with dinner dates, gym runs, long days at the office, or just plain ol’ Netflix and chill kinda nights. There was always a reason (or excuse!) I couldn’t just start.
However, in the last year, it became so much clearer to me that I need this. Like most people I know, I’ve spent my life working really hard without taking much time to reflect. My adventure has taken me down winding paths where I’ve learned so much about the importance of taking time to connect (or disconnect), laugh (or cry), enjoy a moment (or every moment) and just…breathe. I haven’t learned this on my own – its been the combination of so many things, which brings me to this blog.
Unlike the title my blog suggests, this is not exactly a blog about the things I know. In fact, in the realm of all there is to know, I know very little. My intention with this blog is to create a space for inspiration. This might include the story of a little gelato restaurant that serves a swirl of passionfruit-chocolate that may change your life, or a podcast that made me appreciate my morning commute, or my stories of travelling to poverty-stricken cities and witnessing true happiness on the faces of children playing in puddles. I hope to share a few things I discovered along the way with the grand hope that we (yes, we!) redefine what we value in our lives.
I’m excited to share what the universe has kindly opened up for me. My goal is to simply add some inspiration and maybe a new perspective to your day. So although this blog gives the impression that I know a few things, I really don’t. There’s still soooo much to learn, and the people, places, and stories featured here are the real teachers.
Either way, I’m glad you’re here and I appreciate the support (or at least the gesture of reading the whole blog post).
PS. In the next coming weeks, I’ll be releasing blog posts on some of my recent travels and free itineraries to help you plan your next trip. If there’s something you’re looking for in particular, please leave a comment below🙂.
